Susan Chaityn Lebovits is a Boston-based writer whose assignments have involved everything from pointe shoes to acupuncture needles. She’s spent weekends fox hunting in the fields for The Boston Globe, and on Broadway, backstage with the cast of Billy Joel and Twlya Tharp’s “Movin’ Out” for Self Magazine.

Stories covered have included environmental news, architecture, restaurant reviews, extreme sports such as ice diving and wing suiting, and personal struggles including one man’s escape from the civil war in Sierra Leone Africa, and another’s courage to face his battle and death from cancer.

Susan’s work has appeared internationally and has been translated into French, Russian, and Chinese. A graduate of Syracuse University, Susan worked as an art director and copywriter in New York City for McCann-Erickson Worldwide, Backer Spielvogel Bates, and Ogilvy & Mather Direct in both Manhattan and Frankfurt, Germany where she lived for three years.

Also a certified personal trainer, she wrote FITfactor, a monthly column in FIT magazine. Her work has appeared in numerous national magazines.

Susan co-founded the Office of Sustainability at Boston University, and worked as the Senior Communications Specialist for Brandeis University. She now runs SCLBoston Consulting, where she does writing, editing, social media and communications for a wide range of clients.
